Filtering Systems

• Inspect the facility on a frequent basis.
• Maintain accessibility to the structure.
• Seed and mulch all bare soil areas within the contributing drainage area.
• Clean pre-treatment devices of all sediment, trash, debris and vegetation.
• Trash, debris, sediment and vegetation does not obstruct flow out of inflow pipes, channels and outfalls.
• Clean and remove trash, debris, sediment and vegetation from flow control structures.
• Trash racks clear and in good condition.
• Ensure trash racks are not clogged and are in good condition.
• Replace landscaping trees, shrubs and ground cover that is diseased or dying in good condition.
• Replace mulch layers on a regular basis.
• Scarify planting soil layers periodically.
• Replace rock at the outfall of pipes into or out of the facility periodically.
• Check observation wells checked periodically.
• Keep grass clippings away from the facility.
• Keep records of any maintenance activities performed.
